Access to Queen Elizabeth Park restricted during the RAV (Canada Line) construction.
Recommended route is via Main Street Access
NORTHBOUND on Cambie St.:
To access QE Park take either West 33rd or West 29th. One of these entrances will remain open during construction.
SOUTHBOUND on Cambie St.:
There will be no access to QE Park at either 29th or 33rd Avenue. Please take the following route to enter the park:
- Left on King Edward (25th Ave)
- First right on Yukon Street to 29th Ave
- Left on 29th ( Midlothian Ave)
- Right into Q E Park
EASTBOUND on King Edward (25th):
Cross over Cambie Street and then follow the southbound directions as per above.

Cherry Blossom Trolley Tours Join well-known historian and author John Atkin and, artist and heritage advocate Jo Scott B. as we travel by trolley across the city looking for fabulous displays of cherry blossoms on Vancouver's streets. With over 18 varieties planted along the city's boulevards the streets are a riot of pink in Spring. And along the way we'll visit some little known corners of the city. |

Joy Kogawa Visit- Japanese students visiting the Joy Kogawa cherry tree planted at Vancouver City Hall dance an Odori in costume. Tree Talk & Walk- Queen Elizabeth Park with Alex Downie of Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation Board. A guided tree walk highlighting the many exotic and native trees at Queen Elizabeth Park's arboretum, founded in 1949, contains tree species from around the world. Cherry Blossom Ginko Join members of the Pacifi-kana haiku group for a ginko, or haiku walk, in beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park. Special guest Terry Ann Carter, winner of the 2007 Haiku Invitational Best Canadian Haiku, will demonstrate some simple paper book forms. There will be a brief introduction to writing haiku, and a walk in honour of the cherry blossoms. All that is required is a pen and a notebook for recording your observations and inspirations as we enjoy a leisurely stroll, in a group or alone if desired. At an agreed-upon time we will reconvene to enjoy tea and share poems from the walk. |

Tree Talk & Walk - Stanley Park with Arborist Bill Stephen. The walk will use a lovely grove of Yoshino Cherry trees as a focal point to discover many of the beautiful and unusual ornamental trees and plants in Stanley Park's Shaekspeare Garden. Thai Fruit and Vegetable Carving Demonstration. See ordinary fruits and vegetables transformed into beautiful floral designs by Wickson Sahawatthanachai, co-owner of Vancouvers Yuum Yai Thai restaurant. Wickson has been practicing traditional Thai fruit and vegetable carving of the royal palace of Thailand for five years.
